Neurotoxin Treatments. What to Expect.

Pre-Treatment Consult
I’ll start by having a chat with you to discuss which neuromodulator is the right choice for you.
We’ll go over your medical history, current health status, any medications you’re on, allergies, and so on.
I’ll take a look at the area you want to treat and talk about what you're hoping to achieve. Here are the basics you
need to know about getting neurotoxin treatments:

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• You do not have any skin infection in the area being treated

• No recent cosmetic procedure(s) in or near the area being treated

• You are not pregnant, want to be pregnant or are breastfeeding

• You do not have any disease that affects your muscles or nerves

• You are not allergic to any ingredients present in Neurotoxin

Treatment
A mild cleanser will be applied to the treatment area. Our provider will then numb the area to avoid any discomfort during the procedure. With the use of a topical anesthetic or a cold pack, the area is numbed. A microneedle is then used to inject neurotoxin into the targeted area.

Post Treatment
Following treatment, you will be asked to avoid the following:

• Do not lie down for at least a few hours

• Do not rub the area that was treated

• Avoid exercise and strenuous activities for at least 24 hours

Bruising, swelling, tenderness, numbness and redness in the area may occur. These are common side effects and they do not cause any severe or long-lasting effects. Some people may also experience a headache, and very rarely, one may experience drooping eyelids. The effects of Neurotoxins are temporary, and the results will gradually wear off. Age, sun exposure, lifestyle factors and more will impact how long your results last.
